Bachelor of Commerce (Banking And Insurance) 

Objectives

The Department of Bachelors of Commerce - Banking & Insurance (B.B.I.) of L. S. Raheja College (Autonomous) aims at providing comprehensive training to students in the field of Banking and Insurance, to help them acquire new insights into the complexities of banking in the 21st century and thereby making them employable.

The Banking and Insurance sector plays an important role in the economic growth of our country. The program imparts strong foundational knowledge in the field of Banking and Insurance and equips the learners with practical application of the same. Under autonomy and NEP-2020, our students are offered a range of multi–disciplinary courses to enable them to adapt to the stimulating as well as ever-changing atmosphere of the industry.

The program aims to:

• Inculcate confidence to grab opportunities in this stream
• Provide a thorough understanding via practical approaches and an exposure of the corporate arena
• Train students for their future corporate image using modern technology under the guidance of specialized faculty

Eligibility

R. Adm./BBI/2024-BACHELOR OF COMMERCE (BANKING & INSURANCE) (B.B.I.) (amended, May 2025)

To be eligible for admission to the degree program in Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting and Finance) / Bachelor of Commerce (Financial Markets) / Bachelor of Commerce (Banking and Insurance), a candidate shall have passed 12th Class Examination of the Maharashtra Board of Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent examination in all the subjects in one and the same sitting with 55% (admission under open category) or 45% (admission under all other categories as applicable) of marks in aggregate.
