LS Raheja College


The Department of Lifelong Learning and Extension Cell was established on 12th October 1978. It has been recognized as a statutory department of the University of Mumbai since 1994 to promote a meaningful and sustained rapport between the University, the college, and the community. The DLLE Unit has been initiated since 2014 at L. S. Raheja College of Arts and Commerce, Santacruz West. The basic objective is to inculcate a social and sensitive approach in students to work for public awareness and community service.
Unit Strength of DLLE - no changes to table
Objectives:
- To provide a forum for the exchange of ideas and innovative activities for social awareness and community development.
- To promote the aims and values of human development amongst the students.
- To inculcate a feeling of continued sustainable development in the young minds of students.
- To encourage benevolence for social commitment towards the society.
Expected Outcomes:
- Students have close encounters with various social issues and try to resolve them, working towards reducing social disparities and issues
- Involvement in DLLE activities encourages increased social commitment
- Acquiring leadership and management skills
- Fine tuned communication skill helping students network better
