The Bachelor of Commerce (Financial Markets) – BFM Stockers’ Association is a student-led forum initiated from the A.Y. 2017-18 under the guidance of Ms. Divya Kanchan, program Coordinator. What started as a humble attempt to study, discuss, and analyze the functioning of stock markets soon rolled out as a full-fledged study on the live market scenario. Students started to speculate on market trends by giving timely reports on buying, selling, and holding equities on the dedicated notice board of Stockers’ association in the college.

Every year, the association organizes a Live Budget Streaming in the college premises for the entire staff and students to attend. The event provides a platform for students to discuss and deliberate on the nuances of the budgetary session. Since A.Y. 2019, the association holds an intercollegiate academic festival called FinZard where students from other programs participate and learn the magic of finance in various events like Mock stock, Virtual trading, etc.

Objective:

    • To provide a forum for the exchange of ideas and tips on stock market.
    • To impart knowledge and experience related to the world of finance.
    • To study the practical aspects of the Indian Financial markets through the medium of this association.
    • To bridge the gap between industry and students by organizing activities like field visits, guest lectures, mock trading sessions, budget sessions, etc.
    • To encourage students to participate in competitions and various activities in intercollegiate and University level programs.
    • To inculcate an increase in departmental commitment through the knowledge, and leadership and management skills acquired
    • To fine tune communication skills and encourage students to network with other individuals
